is Cape Breton University鈥檚 interactive online orientation program designed to help new and returning students from all programs get familiar with CBU before stepping foot on campus.
Through a series of engaging videos featuring current students and alumni, you鈥檒l gain valuable insights into what to expect during your first few weeks, explore key campus services, and discover the resources available to support your academic success year-round.

How do I register for Start Smart?
- To log into Moodle, you will be asked to provide your CBU username and password. 聽Your username is the first part of your CBU email, without the 鈥渃bu.ca鈥� (example: cbu12abc) and your password is the same as your CBU email password.
- If this is your first time logging into our learning management system, you will see a site policy agreement. Click 鈥測es鈥�.
- You will now be asked to self-enrol in聽There is no password or key to enrol- just click enrol and you鈥檒l be a participant!
