Earlier this week, Chief Terrance Paul announced that Membertou, along with other Mi鈥檏maw communities in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, and their partners, have acquired Clearwater Seafoods in an historic deal that has great significance today and will have meaningful impact for future generations of Mi鈥檏maw People.
I would like to recognize Chief Paul鈥檚 leadership and his success in growing Membertou into one of the most prosperous Indigenous communities in Canada. His vision to transform his 福利免费在线看 while preserving Mi鈥檏maw traditions has been strengthened through this partnership and helps to create much needed economic reconciliation in Canada. Furthermore, this partnership will lead to prosperity both for Mi鈥檏maw communities and non-indigenous communities in Atlantic Canada.
