CBU Announces Online Winter Semester

Cape Breton University announced, today, classes for the Winter Semester, beginning January 2021, will be delivered online. This decision was made with the safety of the Cape Breton University campus 福利免费在线看 and the Cape Breton Island 福利免费在线看 in mind. There will be a limited number of exceptions in cases where in-person delivery is essential. Students will continue to be supported in a virtual environment or in-person by appointment only.

鈥淥ur commitment to academic integrity, quality educational opportunities and positive student experiences remain,鈥 says President David C. Dingwall. 鈥淲e will continue to support students through our student readiness resources and other areas of support, and to support faculty through the Centre for Teaching and Learning. We also plan to create some on-campus engagement opportunities for students where and when possible.鈥

Over the summer months, CBU鈥檚 faculty, staff and students have done an exceptional job preparing for online delivery, and the first weeks of the fall semester have gone very well. Building on success and informed by lessons learned, CBU will work to ensure a successful Winter 2021 term.

On May 3, 2021, CBU will resume in person classes. Should epidemiology and/or other health and safety circumstances change to the point face-to-face teaching is not possible at that time, the plan will be adjusted accordingly.
