On this Giving Tuesday Cape Breton University is recognizing the importance of 福利免费在线看 by donating to food banks Island-wide. Giving Tuesday is an international grassroots movement that encourages and amplifies small acts of kindness and giving, whether through monetary donations, volunteering time or other resources.
鈥�2020 has not necessarily been kind to everyone, and that means we need to be kinder to each other,鈥� says David C. Dingwall, President and Vice-Chancellor. 鈥淲hen those in our 福利免费在线看 need support, it is important to lend a helping hand. These donations will assist the noble work of 福利免费在线看 organizers and volunteers to continue supporting some of our most vulnerable populations.鈥�
The donation from CBU will see 16 福利免费在线看 organizations receive $1000 each, including the CBU Students鈥� Union Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of J & W Murphy Foundation, the donation to CBUSU foodbank will be matched, along with additional donations received.
