The tri-council policy, which covers a wide range of topics, is based on three main principles: respect for people, concern for welfare, and justice. It鈥檚 also part of a larger agreement between the three agencies and the grant-seeking institution called the聽.
To receive and administer research funds from these three agencies, we must agree to comply with a number of the policies outlined in the聽, including TCPS 2.
Our Research Ethics Board is responsible for ensuring that all research involving humans adheres to the moral code of practice expressed in the Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS 2).
